That first sip was definitely not what I expected.
I was thinking this would be something dark. Something heavy. Something full. Instead, it was really only black in color.
It tasted surprisingly light, was pretty smooth, and had no bitterness or dryness to it. The Shiner Bock is a much darker beer than the Shiner Black lager. This isn't saying I didn't like; I much enjoyed it. It just wasn't what I expected. It had a very similar smell/taste as a Yuengling Black and Tan.
